Knights For Hire...

"Will Slay Dragons For Food"

Introduction:
After the affair between Sir Lancelot and Guinevere was revealed, King Arthur raced to France to regain Guinevere who had run away to Lancelot's castle.  While in France, Arthur's illegitimate son Mordred stole his throne and claimed the kingship.  Arthur returns to England and begins battling Mordred's forces, eventually killing him but dying himself in the battle.

Now that King Arthur's dead and his kingdom in ruins, all of Arthur's knights are looking for a new king to serve.  That's where you come in.  The job market for knights is very competitive, so its very important for a knight to have a great resume...

Task:
Pick four of the following eight knights and read the linked article or story about that knight.  Of the four you read about, pick the two that interest you the most.  For each of those knights, you are to create a top-notch resume that will help them land a job serving a king.

After taking a look at the career of a number of King Arthur's knights, determine which two are the King's Top Knights, and create professional resumes that cover their years of service to Camelot. Make sure to include each knight's three greatest accomplishments in their resumes.

Pick four of these knights and read each article or story about that knight--

At the end of this activity you will be expected to turn in two (2) professional resumes that outline the careers of King Arthur's two Top Knights. The resumes should include the three greatest accomplishments of each knight. Your resumés should be clear and purposeful, and address the intended audience appropriately and follow the conventional style for resumés, including type and format.  These are due Friday at the end of class.  You may use Microsoft Word to type them.

The following websites will give you guidelines, samples, and tips.

On your resumes, be sure to include your name at the upper right-hand corner.  Also be sure to include the knight's name, address (be creative), contact information (be creative as to the phone number and e-mail address).  Then cover the top 3 greatest accomplishments of the knight.  Put in any other pertinent information (such as travel experience, former jobs, etc.)  Be sure to include references (the names of people who can attest to the knight's good character.)  You may also want to include a picture.
